OKAMI JAPANESE RESTAURANT - Feb 26
Over 35 of us enjoyed another very well organised dinner event, hosted by Graham and Diane Rowe at the Okami Japanese Restaurant on 2nd February 2026.
The hosts had arranged a set menu that included most of the yummy Japanese dishes on offer elsewhere.
The OKAMI Japanese Restaurant chain is a pioneer in bringing Japanese style All You Can Eat into Australia. Every dish at OKAMI is freshly made to order and combined with the cozy atmosphere.
Certainly the ‘All You Can Eat’ concept is very attractive when devouring the sushi and sashimi platter – we probably had quite a few helpings at our end of the table. This was followed by prawn Gyoza, cooked tuna rolls and crispy chicken rolls. Then on to prawn and vegetable Tempura, chicken Katsu fried Udon with beef and veggies, fried rice and the ever-so-tasty Teriyaki steak.
The feast ended with green tea or vanilla ice cream.
Sadly, we had to farewell David C as ‘eating out’ convener for the past 7 years, but we could welcome in, Andy N as the new convener.
All in all, an enjoyable night of good company and delicious food.
