CHRISTMAS CAROLS - 2025
On 13th December the Songsters gathered in the Westleigh Village for their popular annual Christmas carols performance.
They had a full house with two keyboards, two guitarists, Danny and his granddaughter on brass and the choir who sang with heartfelt enthusiasm under choir leader, Pam.
Carol after carol was greeted with thunderous applause by the crowd of onlookers (mainly Probus Songster groupies!) that had gathered for the occasion.
Almost every passerby stopped to take a photo, and some even a selfie, with the musicians.
It is a lovely way for the Songsters to demonstrate their skills, and the Westleigh shoppers were very appreciative. Possibly in the following years, this 60-minute performance should be more actively promoted by the Village management.
Everyone had a great time and will start practicing for their next performance!
All members are welcome when Songsters reconvene in February. It is a relaxed singalong with a range of tunes. Christmas tunes usually only emerge later in the year.
