SISTER ACT - THE MUSICAL - June 26
A large group of Westleigh Probians met at the Pioneer Theatre in Castle Hill on Sunday afternoon, 14th June. It is a very neat and compact theatre, sadly with minimal parking, so, for some of us, it was a bit of a trek from the car. Definitely the walk was worth the enjoyment we all had.
Sister Act – The Musical, is a feel-good smash hit based on the iconic 1992 film of the same name and was performed by the Blackout Theatre Company. Link: Sister Act
The story line; when disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she's hidden in the one place no one would think to look: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she helps her fellow sisters find their voices and transforms the struggling choir into a sensational act - but can she stay hidden? Packed with soul, gospel, and Motown-inspired music, Sister Act is a joyful, uplifting afternoon of laughter and song not to be missed.
What a lovely and inspiring way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
