On a beautiful warm Monday a group of adventurous members headed off from Circular Quay West (after a gorgeous morning tea at a Rocks café) to catch an Art thief!

 

In order to catch this thief, members had to follow a pre-defined route and undertake 15 challenges along the way. All of this was accessed by a phone app called Questo, and the particular hunt we were undertaking had been written by Chris and Julie Ortlepp’s daughter Amanda.

 

The route took us from the Quay under the Harbour Bridge, then along Hickson Rd to Barrangaroo then down the eastern foreshore of Darling Harbour. At that point we left the water, walked past Tumbalong Park and the ICC Theatre before finishing up at the Novotel hotel.

 

All told it was around 5km in length and took us a little over 2 hours.

 

A great day out for all, and thanks to all who endured what proved to be a rather warm and humid day. And special thanks to Chris and Julie for their assistance both in helping us understand how to use Questo and their enthusiastic support of the group as a whole.
